The number of subscribers requesting additional info, including this newsletter, continues to grow, indicating to me that the interest to get into the mattress cleaning business continues to grow as well. Multiple revenue streams are one of the keys to achieving a successful small business. As you venture about in your daily affairs, keep your eyes open, keep your mind open, and maintain a “list” for yourself (and hopefully to be shared with others) of additional services, or revenue generating ideas, that can be offered using the “business-in-a-box” equipment…NOT limited to just mattress cleaning! (This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes. Einstein is credited with the quote “you don’t have to wear socks with shoes”. What does that mean? In my opinion, Einstein’s quote was ripped off by Steven Covey in his book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, re-spun and marketed, as the oft quoted cliché “thinking outside the box”).
As I said, the “business-in-a-box” is NOT just limited to mattress cleaning. As an example, the equipment can also be utilized for cleaning wild game trophy mounts. Those persons who hunt (or fish) spend many $$$ on their hunting trips, many $$$ on mounting whatever wild animal they killed and had mounted and will spend $$$ on the maintenance of their trophies. The EPA (environmental protection agency) stopped taxidermists and tanneries from using toxic chemicals such as arsenic, which prevented the trophies from becoming infested with insects. Often times, these wall mounted trophies are overlooked by weekly cleaning and covered with dust and tiny insects, most notably, dermestid, that love to eat hair follicles, horns, leather, etc. This now presents a problem for trophy collector’s and your “business-in-a-box” equipment is ideally suited to service the hides and shoulder/head mounted trophies.
Included in the equipment is the UVC germicidal irradiation light wand. Imagine the additional “service” possibilities one can offer with UVC light…a tool that you have at your disposal and a tool that more than likely, ONLY YOU have, in your area.
Grocers, especially health food stores, could use the service of the germicidal irradiation light wand for sterilizing shopping cart handles, the check-out conveyor belt, sterilizing employee work areas (butchers, deli, pastries, etc.) and restrooms. I’m certain many cleaning needs are satisfied with the use of cleaning products…but these products become depleted and need to replaced (bought) whereas “cleaning with UVC” consumes no costly cleaning products, needs no cleaning product inventory, and requires no disposal of empty product containers, ever! It may well be worth your efforts to offer your services, at a very low discounted price, in exchange for advertising possibilities targeting “health and wellness” conscious individuals.
Offering simply the service and the benefits of the UVC germicidal irradiation light wand (with or without the enzyme cleaner) could be applied to commercial businesses such as restaurants, day cares, auto rental agencies, escalator handrails in malls, door handles at, entrance/exits, computer keyboards and more. Did you know, that a cantaloupe sliced under UVC light, will last 4 days longer for consumption? What other ideas can you imagine?
